With all the discussion about companies gauging how and where they want people to work, we thought it would be important to find out where people actually want to work.
After all, this is a decision that will have a significant impact on people outside the boardroom. We conducted a poll on LinkedIn and asked if people would rather work at home, on-site, or a hybrid of the two.
We ran the numbers and here are the official results:
Working fully from home: 21%
Working fully on-site: 0%
A hybrid of the two: 79%
Overwhelmingly, people voted for a hybrid work situation.
While some people are happy working from home full-time, the results indicate a lack of interest from employees in spending all their time at the office. We doubt this is a new revelation. Perhaps people realize how much time they were wasting on long and frustrating commutes.
Maybe they don’t want to return to the old way of working after experiencing a better work-life balance.
