Last week, we gathered in the stunning surroundings of Malibu at the Pepperdine University Graziadio Business School for an unforgettable four-day Master Facilitator training. Special thanks to Dr. Steve Ralph for coordinating and hosting this amazing Strategic Play Global event. Participants came together from across North America, united by a shared passion for learning through play. Over the course of the event, attendees were immersed in hands-on experiences that honed their facilitation skills, empowering them to take their newfound expertise back to their organizations, communities, and universities.
The training covered a diverse range of topics essential for modern leadership and facilitation, including Playsonality™, Strategic Storytelling, Design Thinking, Playing with Strategy, and Creative Conflict Analysis and Management. Through playful exploration, participants learned more about their unique and authentic playstyles, developed impactful meaningful stories, facilitated innovative methods to solve complex challenges, designed creative strategies, and managed conflict with empathy and effectiveness.
Each day of the training was filled with interactive sessions, group collaboration, and personal reflection, allowing participants to fully engage with the material and each other. The atmosphere was alive with creativity. Everyone worked together to apply their learning in real-time, preparing themselves to bring fresh perspectives and powerful facilitation techniques to their organizations and communities.
The interactive classroom with a small group of 12 participants created an opportunity for learners to also become lead learners and share their insights with others. This cohort will stay connected as the interactive learning continues over the next month. We will be opening online classroom models to solidify playful takeaways and enhance learning transfer.
We are incredibly proud of the amazing progress our newly minted Master Facilitators made over these four days, and we can't wait to see how they will continue to make a positive impact as they apply their skills around the world as indicated by the Master Facilitator Badge indicating over 100 hours of hands-on mind-engaged learning focusing on LEGO SERIOUS PLAY.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this transformative experience!
