Many of you have watched our video on how we used LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methods to work with the City of Surrey in their work in poverty reduction. This was just one example of our work with various governments.
But here is a new story that takes LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methods in a totally different direction: underground!
In early January, when I called LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methods facilitator and great friend, Mike Campigotto, to wish him a Happy New Year, he told me an incredible story. He and a group of young engineers had just launched a new business in North Bay, Ontario, called Safe Sight Explorations Inc.
That’s great on its own. But even more interesting was that he used bricks to do it. He facilitated the group in a LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methods full-day strategy session, where they defined their business goals and built their strategy.
The thing that’s so amazing about this business is they use drone technology to go into mines to conduct work that is either too time-consuming or too dangerous for humans to do.
A LEGO Drone Connection! Now just imagine the lives LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methods might be saving.
Think back to when you played the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methods Innovation Game in your training session. Do you remember how much fun you had thinking about all the kinds of inventions you could prototype? Think about how you built and tested and let your imagination run away with your hands.
Now take a look at this new business start-up and ask yourself this: In what ways can I facilitate LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methods workshops to make the world a safer and happier place?
What could you be facilitating right now that could change the world?
